How Amy helps

Amy Herrera, REALTOR®, RE/MAX Elite

Amy habla español.

In many new-home purchases the builder pays the buyer's agent. Your written buyer agreement states Amy's services, how she is paid and by whom. Broker compensation is not set by law and is fully negotiable.

  1. Tell Amy which communities

Start with this one, or list a few. Amy compares prices, taxes, HOA dues and incentives side by side.

  2. Sign a buyer agreement, then Amy registers you

Texas requires a written buyer agreement before you tour. Many builders only work with a buyer's agent who registers you before your first visit to the sales office, so Amy registers you first.

  3. Tour with Amy, or on your own

Visit with Amy, or go yourself with your registration on file. Amy negotiates, walks you through the builder's contract and coordinates an independent inspection.
